7th Annual Sculpture Trail
The 2021-2022 Sculpture trail features 11 works by artists from North Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Massachusetts and New York. Nine of the sculptures are located in Downtown Clayton and are a short walk or bike ride from the center of town. Two others are just a little further away - one can be found at the Roundabout on E Front Street, and one at the Clayton Community Center on Amelia Church Road.
The 2021-2022 sculpture selection committee included local artists, residents, business owners, elected officials, civic leaders and Town staff. The committee was assisted by Jim Davis. Artists receive an honorarium for each sculpture selected. In addition, participating artists are eligible to compete in a People's Choice vote, in which the public selects the winner of an additional award.
