The Public Art Advisory Board (PAAB) was established to form a collection of artistic works for the community to enjoy and help dress up public spaces in the Town of Clayton.
To enhance the Sam's Branch Greenway and engage young people in the arts, PAAB envisioned the creation and installation of a repeating series of community art projects along the trail. In 2013, the Town of Clayton and PAAB unveiled the first community-involved outdoor public art project. Students in the community have been designing and painting different shapes that are hung on the bridges along the greenway. This is an exhibit that will rotate every two years.
Residents and visitors flock by the hundreds to these gorgeous greenways, and now, along various parts of the trails, they are treated to the delightfully colorful creations of young artists.
