Wastewater Program Milestone
The Town reached several major milestones in January for its proposed new wastewater facilities, including a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and approval of the Environmental Impact Document, the Engineering Report (ER), and Clayton’s modified NPDES wastewater discharge permit that incorporates the program. The approvals involved a broad group of state and federal agencies, public comment periods for both the FONSI and the NPDES permit modification, and a public workshop.

The Clayton Center Continues Weekly Livestream Concerts
When The Clayton Center closed its doors to the public March of 2020, the staff didn’t expect the auditorium to remain dark for long. And it wasn’t, thanks to the innovation of Executive Director Scotty Henley and a talented crew. For the past 11 months, the Center has continued to reach its audience by livestreaming weekly performances from the auditorium stage into their homes. Learn more about the weekly Wednesday livestreams and check out the upcoming schedule of events.

COVID-19 Update
This month marks one year since COVID-19 began to change our lives, and the Town of Clayton is all too familiar with the challenges of this pandemic. For the past year, Town Hall has been closed to the public. Other facilities have been closed as well, although the Clayton Library and Parks and Recreation departments have opened and closed several times over the past 12 months. But being “closed to the public” doesn’t mean shut down. Town staff continued to maintain daily operations and conduct business in new ways.
