Council to Continue Budget Discussions - Wed. May 29
The Clayton Town manager presented his recommended FY 2019-2020 balanced budget at Monday’s Town Council meeting/public hearing on May 20th. Several Council members wanted more information about some Capital Improvement Projects. Two residents shared concerns about the state-mandated revalaution raising homeowners property taxes even though this budget keeps the Clayton tax rate unchanged. So Council voted to continue the public hearing and hold an additional budget discussion at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29 in Town Hall. You can read the Town Manager's recommended budget by clicking the link below. The budget must be adopted by July 1, 2019.
