Garbage, Recycling, Yard Waste Delay
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, All Star will not pick up garbage, recycling and yard waste on Monday, May 25th. Monday's routes will be run on Tuesday. Since All Star catches up fast, we recommend that Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes put carts out as normal the night before your regularly-scheduled day. All Star may pick up on your normal day, or one day later. When in doubt, leave it out. Questions? Call or text 919-989-1562.

COVID-19 Business Resources
We’re battling an unprecedented public health emergency, the likes of which Clayton hasn’t seen in our 150-year history. Like the Town, businesses have been consumed by COVID-19, trying to adapt so our staff can safely continue to provide services, while also having to react and interpret daily changes in the complicated COVID-19 guidance. Our Town of Clayton Economic Development Office, in collaboration with the Clayton Downtown Develoment Assocation and the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, are continuing to update business resources and information.

Construction on Greenway Extension Underway
Clayton is building a $3.5 million pedestrian tunnel and greenway extension into Downtown Clayton! Construction has closed Legend Park and will mean temporary shutdowns of O’Neil Street and the Sam’s Branch Trailhead and parking area - exact dates have not been determined, but the closure of O'Neil will likely be in the spring of 2020 and will mean drivers needing to detour down Covered Bridge and City Road. The greenway will connect to Legend Park, giving walkers, runners and bicyclists a safe and scenic trail into Downtown Clayton.
