Community involvement is vital to a successful public art program. The Public Art Advisory Board actively promotes a collaboration with the residents and schools of Clayton in developing and creating exciting new public art projects.
The Clayton community knitted 150 squares into tree sweaters for a unique art project, which adorned downtown trees in winter 2023 and were later donated to shelters for pets in spring 2024.
The Public Art Advisory Board (PAAB) in Clayton enhances public spaces and engages youth in the arts by installing rotating community-created art along the Sam's Branch Greenway, with the first installation unveiled in 2013 and updated biennially to showcase vibrant works by local students.
