The Town of Clayton has launched a new, streamlined platform for accessing meeting agendas, minutes, videos, and related materials for the Town Council and advisory boards.

Beginning January 1, 2026, all newly published agendas, minutes, and meeting information will be available at claytonnc.portal.civicclerk.com. The new system is designed to make it easier for residents, businesses, and stakeholders to find information, stay informed, and engage with local government.

Accessing Historical Meeting Information

Meeting agendas, minutes, and documents prior to January 1, 2026 will remain accessible on the legacy site temporarily, while the Town works to migrate records into the new system. During this transition period, users will need to visit the legacy site to access older meeting information.

Public Records

The Town of Clayton is committed to upholding both the letter and the spirit of North Carolina's public records laws, which include but are not limited to NC General Statutes chapters 132 and 160A-168

Requests for public records are handled through the Town Clerk’s office. Submit your request by completing our online form. Please be as specific as possible by including the date, title, and/or topic of the records you're interested in reviewing.
