Enjoy a read-aloud story and make your own bird feeder from recycled materials. For kids in grades K-2.
K–2 participants will enjoy a read-aloud of Bird Watcher and Bird Feeders by Glenn Blough, sparking curiosity about the birds that live right in our own neighborhood. Together, we’ll talk about local birds—their colors, sounds, and favorite foods—then roll up our sleeves for a hands-on craft! Using plastic bottles, paper cartons, and plastic lids, students will create their very own bird feeders to help welcome feathered friends.
