Directions & Parking
Conveniently located off U.S. Highway 70 in downtown Clayton, The Clayton Center is an easy drive from the Triangle and points east of Johnston County. Our physical address is 111 E 2nd Street, Clayton, NC 27520. See driving directions below.
Parking
Parking at The Clayton Center is free and is available in several locations convenient to the venue. The main parking lot adjoins the back of the facility. This lot offers ample handicapped spaces and is accessible from both Horne and Fayetteville Streets. Parking is also located in the Town Square at the corner of E Second and Fayetteville Streets (diagonally across from The Clayton Center) and between the Center and Horne United Methodist Church along E Second Street. Additional parking can be found along the streets surrounding The Clayton Center.
Driving Directions
From Raleigh and Points West
Take I-40 East to Raleigh and toward Wilmington. From I-40, merge onto U.S. 70 Business East via Exit 306 toward Clayton/Smithfield/Goldsboro. Stay on 70-East for approximately 7 miles. Once you pass the Wal-Mart Shopping Center, go 3 more traffic signals. Turn Left at the third traffic signal onto Robertson Street (Rite Aid and Walgreens will be on the left at this intersection). Continue two blocks and take a right onto Second Street. The Clayton Center is 3 blocks on the right at the intersection of Second and Fayetteville Streets.
From Points East of Clayton
From I-40
Take I-40 West to Exit 312. Turn right off the exit ramp onto Highway 42 and continue approximately 6 miles into Clayton. After passing under the bridge (Highway 70) the road becomes Lombard Street. Turn left at the stoplight onto Second Street and continue for 3 blocks. The Clayton Center will be on your left.
From Highway 70 and Smithfield
From Highway 70 turn right at Main Street to enter into Downtown Clayton. Continue through the downtown area. Take a left onto Fayetteville Street and go one block. The Clayton Center will be on your left.
