Bids, Requests For Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Construction Bids

  • The Town of Clayton, in compliance with NC General Statute 143-129 and Town Policy, is excited to commence advertising solicitations for construction/repair projects, professional services, other services, and all purchases of goods and apparatus, to the North Carolina Electronic Vendor Portal (NC eVP) website.

eVP is a State of North Carolina free online bid posting system. Suppliers can view and download solicitation documents directly from the website. Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to view solicitation documents.

In order to receive notices and updates on solicitations posted to eVP, suppliers must be registered with eVP on the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal (eVP).

All entities doing business with the Town, including suppliers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, must comply with the requirements of Article 2, Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes, "Verification of Work Authorization."

Businesses, Nonprofit Corporations, Limited Liability Corporations, Limited Liability Partnerships, and Limited Liability limited Partnerships are required to register with the North Carolina Secretary of State's Office prior to conducting business in the State of North Carolina.

To effectively search for bids, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal.
  2. Click on "Browse Solicitations."
  3. Expand the "Filters" drop-down menu.
  4. Under the "Department" section, choose "Town of Clayton."
  5. Scroll through the list to view all Town of Clatyon bid opportunities.
  6. Utilize the "Category" option to refine your search. This allows you to find bid opportunities statewide categorized by service type, such as Construction Services, Design Services, Cleaning, and Equipment Supplies.

Bid Submission Process:

Once a solicitation is posted on the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal, registered suppliers in eVP receive automatic email notifications for their respective categories. It's important to note that Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view bid documents.

Bidders are expected to:

Check the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal for all solicitation documents related to goods and services, as well as any addenda issued for those solicitations. Note that only “Notice to Bidders” for Construction bids are posted to eVP.

NOTE: For CONSTRUCTION BIDS go to Town of Clayton Construction Bidding Opportunities to obtain all documents (Construction Bid, Addenda, Plans/Drawings) pertaining to the project.
