Welcome the Town of Clayton, North Carolina

Get off the sidelines! Join an Advisory Board!

STOP SITTING ON THE SIDELINES!! Get more involved and have a say in our town's future! We've got SEVENTEEN fantastic opportunities for you!

Concerned or excited about Clayton's growth? Want to get first peek at applications for new development projects, such as new retail uses, restaurants, apartment buildings, or commercial buildings AND help recommend their approval or denial? We've got TWO spots on our Planning Board!

Love art? We have THREE spots on our Public Art Advisory Board: YOU help pick those downtown sculptures, come up with student art projects and get creative enhancing our town!

Know how important public safety is? Help the Clayton Fire Department on their advisory board to make sure our first responders are able to serve the community! We have THREE positions on our Fire Advisory Board!

Our library is bursting at the seams and recently won a grant to come up with a plan for the future of Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library - want to have a say in that plan?! We have THREE openings on our Library Advisory Board.

Or do you want to be part of planning parks and recreation improvements and programs - it's an incredibly exciting time to grab a seat on our Clayton Parks and Recreation Advisory Board - there are SIX UPCOMING VACANCIES!

If any of those opportunities sound awesome - fill out an application by WEDNESDAY, Sept. 25 at 5 PM!! Did we mention we have a really nice annual appreciation event for our advisory board members? The only requirement – you need to attend regular monthly meetings and live either in Town of Clayton town limits or just outside. Terms are for three years.
