Town Facilities Closed Monday for MLK Day – Garbage/Recycling Unaffected

All Town of Clayton facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1. For utility outages, call 919-553-1530.

Closures include Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library, the Clayton Community Center, The Clayton Center and Town Hall — including our utilities and billing department.

The Library, Clayton Community Center and all Town parks will be open as usual over the holiday weekend. All Town facilities will reopen as usual Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Is Monday your day for garbage, recycling and yard waste collection? Put it to the curb as usual! All Star will be running routes on schedule for the entire week. Loose leaf colletion will NOT run Monday as that collection is provided by Town of Clayton crews, who will be off for the holiday. The loose leaf suction truck will be back out Tuesday morning to begin the week's routes.

The holiday will also push January's Town Council work session back a day to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Town Hall/The Clayton Center.
