Welcome the Town of Clayton, North Carolina

Loose Leave Collection Underway!

Weekly Loose Leaf Collection is Underway!
Our 4-month season always runs Oct. 1 to Jan. 31st
Set those leaves just behind the curb & PLEASE no rocks, sticks or dirt!

If you're containerizing your leaves:
All Star WILL BE ENFORCING our 2015 Town Ordinance:

Loose Leaf Pickup
Oct. 1- Jan. 31st
Every Week for 4 Months on the Day After Your Garbage Day!

Between October 1st and January 31st, All Star performs curbside vacuum collection of loose leaves. If your garbage day is Monday, leaves will be collected on Tuesday; those with garbage service on Friday will have leaves removed on Monday. During the peak season there may be times the volume of leaves is SO great or the leaves are SO wet that this schedule may be off by a day or two. Leaves only! Please make sure your piles are free of rocks, sticks, dirt and debris. These can clog up the machines, cause damage and delay this great service! Leaves should be placed behind the curb, not in the gutter or in the drainage ditch. You also have the option to bag your leaves in CLEAR bags, place them in your new yard waste cart (see above) or put them in other containers (no bigger than 50 gallons please!) and they'll be picked up on your regular yard waste day ALL YEAR LONG!

No more BLACK BAGS!
Bags for leaves and small yard waste MUST be CLEAR!!

To help All Star continue its incredibly consistent and prompt service, any bags used for yard waste MUST be clear. It's a matter of efficiency and avoiding confusion. They collect garbage, recycling, yard waste AND bulk items on the SAME day - they need to be able to tell immediately that your bag is full of leaves and small yard waste, not trash. Black bags will no longer be collected. Clear yard waste bags are available at: Hudson's Hardware (77 Amelia Church Rd. off US 70), Lowe's Foods (11711 US 70), Harris Teeter (67 Crossroads Way), Food Lion (238 Pritchard Rd), Food Lion (50 Neuse River Pkwy), or Walmart Online - Ship Free to Store (search "Clear Lawn Leaf Bags").

Weekly Limit Includes Bags!
Don't Violate the 6X6X3 Weekly Volume Limit!

WEEKLY LIMIT: All Star follows the 6X6X3 ordinance rule, which states that IN TOTAL you cannot have more than the equivalent of a 6 ft. long, 6 ft. deep, 3 ft. volume of yard waste at the street. Yes, you can have loose piles of limbs (cut to the correct sizes), you can have CLEAR bags of leaves AND you can have containerized yard waste - you CAN have it all - but TOGETHER their total volume must not exceed the 6x6x3 limit each week. Yard waste that is not prepared properly will NOT be collected, but All Star WILL leave a wire tag so you know why!
