Municipal Park Ground Breaking

Municipal Park Ground Breaking

On December 9, 2021, Clayton Parks and Recreation officially broke ground on the new Municipal Park. The park is being renovated by Balfour Beatty and is scheduled to be completed by Summer 2022.

It will feature a brand-new playground, splash pad, two new basketball courts (one of which doubles as a futsal court), and three new picnic shelters.

The centerpiece of the park will be a huge open greenspace that will be ideal for picnics, playing catch, or chasing a frisbee.

Municipal Park will be perfect for weddings, family reunions, and birthday parties. There will also be a permanent stage thanks to Caterpillar of Clayton, NC.

In a matter of months, the newly renovated Municipal Park will be the park many kids will remember as their favorite.
