Are You Planning to Have A Yard Sale?

Now that the weather is nice and warm, you'll probably be seeing yard sale signs going up all over town. It's that time of year.

But, if you're thinking about having one of your own, here are some common-sense town rules you will need to know and follow about posting your Yard Sale signs:

• They're not allowed on utility poles or on the street right-of-way.
• They can't be posted more than seven days in advance
• They must be removed within 48 hours of the sale date

These rules are intended to help keep Clayton free of unnecessary clutter.

Also, please note that if you are considering placing a fence or accessory structure on your property, a permit is required from Community Development Services.
