New Self-Storage Facility in the Works

The Town Council has given the green light to a new self-storage facility on Powhatan Road to be called Gordon Self-Storage.

The buildings will be a mix of brick, split face brick, metal roof panels and metal doors using the colors of blue and gray. The design won rave reviews from town planners.

"I like this project," said Councilman Bob Satterfield. "It looks very good."

An existing house on the two-acre lot at 3986 Powhatan Road will be removed to make way for storage buildings, a climate-controlled storage building and an office building.

The owner is CBE Development LLC.
