TAE KWON DO

For those with some basic drawing abilities, discover pencils used for finished artwork and explore watercolor pencils, markers and Conte crayons and pastels as mediums for your still life and “from a photo” masterpieces. Master the art of distinctive hand lettering. Projects will include Old English, Italic, Script, and Uncial. Express yourself making invitations, greeting cards, announcements, and award certificates, etc. Bring your own writing instruments. Register at the Parks & Recreation office.
SEEING OUR WORLD Preschool Art Class

This class is designed for young preschoolers with a parent or caretaker. Each class will focus on a particular topic with a project to take home. Emphasis will be on fun while exploring color, texture, and our natural environment. For expamle, for a fall leaves class, we will take a walk, talk about fall colors, and do a painting incorporating the natural things we gather. All supplies will be provided. Dress for the mess. Registration fee covers one child and one adult. Register at the Parks & Recreation office.
AFTER SCHOOL ART

Matisse, Rodin, Picasso, Da Vinci, and many others will be our guides as we do an overview of different media with a "master or two" as our jumping off point. We will paint, cut, sculpt, draw and print. This hour and a half class is designed for elementary school children. Class size is limited to ten students. Register at the Parks & Recreation office.
JEWELRY SILVERSMITHING

Learn jewelry fabrication using a torch. Projects will include basic design, soldering, sawing, filing, drilling, stone setting, forms and polishing. Also an introduction to copper enameling. Tools provided. Supplies fees are paid to the instuctor. Register at the Parks & Recreation office.

- In order to participate in open studio you must be currently enrolled in a pottery class or recieve permission from instructor Julie Rowe. No outside clays are permitted. All clay must be purchased from the Community Center.
- Residents $30(10 Sessions) and Non-residents $45(10 sessions)

Guided Art Studio
Come and enjoy the beautiful “atrium-like” art space while creating your own artwork—drawing, painting, etc. with artists of all levels. An instructor will guide your exploration as needed. Easels, tables are available and a still life will be set-up should you choose to recreate it. Bring your supplies, your projects in the works, or the blank pad or canvas that needs a motivating spark! Instructors: Lynda Wilson and Lisa Bailey
