Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library has new resources that make tracing family trees easier. HeritageQuest Online and Ancestry Library Editions will allow you to start exploring your roots by searching a surname. You can dig into millions of family records – as far back as the 1700s. Even easier, you can choose where you want to do your research, at the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library or through the link provided below. Anyone with a Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library/Johnston County Library card can log on to HeritageQuest Online by entering all the digits on the back of your library card, just use the easy link below to connect with the site.

Portraits
Portraits of the library's namesakes, Dr. Battle and Lucile Hocutt. Hocutt donated the land she received as dowry to the library and asked that her family name, Ellington, be added to the library's name.
