Registration Underway for Youth Basketball

Registration for Youth Basketball--for youngsters from 7 to 18 years of age-- is underway, with leagues in four age groups for boys, three age groups for girls and a coed league for children seven to eight years old.

The cost is $25 for residents and $60 for those who live outside town for children 7 to 10 year of age. The cost for those 11 years old and older is $2 more.

Registration forms are available through Sept. 30 at the Parks & Recreation office at the new Clayton Community Center, town hall, the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library downtown or can be downloaded by clicking here.

Those who register after Sept. 30 will be placed on a waiting list and added to a team if a space becomes available. All youngsters must produce a birth certificate and proof of medical insurance.

Completed registration forms can be dropped off at the Parks & Recreation Department office or mailed to Parks & Recreation Department, PO Box 879, Clayton NC 27528.

Both practices and games will be weekday evenings after 6 pm, as well as during the day on Saturdays. Brothers and sisters in the same age group and residing in the same household will be placed on the same team.
