Registrations forms will be available beginning Jan. 18 at the Parks & Recreation office, at Town Hall, and at Hocutt-Ellington Library downtown. Completed forms can be dropped off at the Parks & Recreation office during regular business hours, in the Town Hall utility payment box after hours, or mailed to the Parks & Recreation Department at P.O. Box 879, Clayton NC 27528.
Forms turned in to the office or postmarked after Feb. 5 will be placed on a waiting list, and youngsters will be placed on teams as needed.
Practices and games are usually held on a weekday evening and on Saturdays. Practices for most leagues will begin in late April, with games played in May and June.
The age 9 to 10 boys and girls softball league will begin in March and games will be played April through June.
Brothers and sisters in the same age group, and residing in the same household, will be placed on the same team. However, requests for individuals, such as neighbors, relatives, friends, carpooling, to be placed on the same team cannot be honored because of the large number of participants in our leagues.
A birth certificate and medical insurance is required.
Please call the Department at 553-1551 for more information.
