New Youth Art Classes Beginning Soon
The Parks & Recreation Department has a series of new youth art classes at the new Clayton Community Center on Amelia Church Road.
The classes are open to both residents and non-residents, and Community Center membership discounts apply. Registration is being handled at the Community Center.

Here's a look at what's being offered:
ARTIST TRADING CARD WORKSHOP
Learn to create your own 3.5 x 2.5
works of art known as Artist Trading
Cards. Students will learn techniques
like collage, painting, stamping, folding
to create the cards, and then they will
create a booklet to keep the cards in.
Artist Trading Cards can be kept or
traded with friends.

• Ages 8-12
• $15/resident/workshop

PARENT/CHILD POTTERY SAMPLER
Spend some quality time with your
child while creating FUNctional items!
Students will learn a variety of methods
including coil-building, pinch pots, slab
work and glazing to create flower pots,
trays and wall pockets. Pieces will be
finished with basic glazing techniques
and fired to a lasting, durable and safe
item for everyday use. No experience
necessary!
