It's Time for 22nd County Senior Games

It's time for the 22nd annual Johnston County Senior Games, which feature more than 30 athletic and arts events April 19-30.

All Johnston County residents ages 55 and over are eligible to participate. Athletic events include basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, cycling, bowling, bocce, golf, billiards, croquet, spin casting, swimming, tennis and track and field.

Arts events include heritage (quilting, knitting, needlework and more), literary (essays, poems, short stories and life experiences), visual (acrylics, drawing, photography and more) and performing (comedy, drama, vocal, dance and instrumental).

The County Senior Games are part of the North Carolina Senior Games, which serves more than 30,000 participants. The Games are sponsored locally by United Way of Johnston County, Clayton Physical Therapy & Wellness and the Selma Lodge of Woodmen of the World.
