Senior Trip to Savannah in the Spring

The Parks and Recreation Department is planning a Senior Trip to Savannah, Georgia in the spring for those 55-years-of-age and older.

The trip will include a dinner cruise aboard the Savannah Riverboat, dinner at Paula Deen's Lady & Son's Restaurant, a tour of Savannah, a Low Country tour and tickets to the "Savannah Tenors" show at the Savannah Theater.

"We've had a lot of people call us and ask for this trip," said Recreation Program Supervisor Susan Jenkins. "It's such a great place to go."

The cost is $330 per person for residents and $350 per person for non-residents. The trip is scheduled for March 30-April 1.

A similar trip a few years ago was a big success, Jenkins said.

"They absolutely loved it," she said. "They had the best time."

The trip bus is scheduled to leave the Clayton Community Center at 7 am Wednesday, March 30, with a return scheduled at 4 pm on Friday, April 1.
