Class for Beginning Quilters Begins April 6
A new class for beginning quilters is set to begin April 6 at the Clayton Center.
The six-week class will be held Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and is open to all who want to learn quilting basics. Janie Frantz is the instructor.
"You will learn the basics of quilting, such as collecting, marking your fabrics, cutting pattern pieces, piecing your fabrics by machine sewing, joining blocks and making a border to finish and complete your project," according to class materials. "Once we have completed the twelve 9-piece blocks (in your own color scheme), we will be piecing them to create a charming patchwork tablecloth to fit into any easy going area of your home."
The cost is $45 for residents and $50 for non-residents.
