Police Move Into Temporary Headquarters

With work imminent on the town's new Law Enforcement Center---which includes renovating police headquarters at 201 S. Barbour Street, the Police Department has moved into a temporary headquarters on US 70W Business.

All telephone numbers and email addresses continue unchanged at the new location.

The Department's new headquarters is at 9933 US 70W Business, at least for the next 12 to 18 months "until the new downtown station is completed at our permanent site," Chief Glen Allen said.

The Department office will be closing a couple of hours early, though, on business days in an effort to save some operating funds. The new hours are from 8 am to 6 pm.

Other parts of the Department will continue to work around-the-clock, as always, the Chief said.
