Operations Center Gets Public "Thank You"

Employees at the town's Operations Center literally keep the town running, constantly taking care of our water, sewer service, electric service, garbage service and all public areas, including the streets.

But they're not often the ones getting thanked publicly for helping keep the town running smoothly.

That changed recently when several Clayton Downtown Development Association members got together to cook and serve breakfast to all the folks at the Operations Center--as a way to say thanks.

“The CDDA can’t thank you enough for all that you do to make downtown events so successful and keep downtown so visually appealing that people enjoying spending time there,” CDDA President Richard Rairigh told the group.

CDDA members who participated or contributed to the breakfast were Rairigh, Betsy Grannis, Michael Grannis, Leslie Hubbard, Margaret Lee, Debbie Romano and Michael Sims.
