"Mom Bootcamp" is Coming Back Around
Need to lose weight and get your body in shape?
If you're willing to put in the work, the Parks & Recreation Department is bringing back a program that can help you reach your goals. "Mom Bootcamp" begins Tuesday, April 12 for eight weeks of slimming and sculpting.
"This is a high intensity class that is open to anyone who wants to see results," said Recreation Program Coordinator Matt Lorion.
Designed by two moms--Jess Barbour and LaDeva Gary--who went from overweight to slim, the class, tagged as "serious," meets at the new Clayton Community Center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The cost is $70 for residents and $85 for non-residents. Child care is provided.
"By using their personal experiences, they've designed a class to increase your strength and endurance with this energetic workout," the promotional flyer says. "Burn fat and calories through interval training with cardio drills and resistance training, and using your own body weight. You will learn how to sculpt your arms, abs and legs."
