Polliceman Will McIntosh Honored by the State
Officer Will McIntosh of the Clayton Police Department has been awarded an Advanced Law Enforcement Certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
It's the highest such honor awarded by the state, recognizing education, training and experience.
"We're very proud of Officer McIntosh for all he's accomplished," said Chief Glen Allen. "He worked hard for this, and our Department is better for it."
The nine-year police veteran, who worked with the Kinston Police Department before joining Clayton in 2005, has served as a K-9 handler in the Patrol Division since 2007 and is currently assigned to D-Squad.
The Commission’s Program is designed to reward and recognize officers who continually strive to improve professionally, usually through formal education and various schools or training courses, above and beyond what is mandated by the state.
