Hershey's Track & Field Event June 5
The Johnston County Hershey's Track & Field Competition--which features the long jump and softball throw, plus the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m events and 4x100 relay--is scheduled for Saturday, June 5 at Clayton High School.
The rain date is Sunday, June 6.
The free local competition, hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department for boys and girls ages 9-14, is set to begin at 10 am. Check in time for participants is 9 am.

Hershey's Track & Field Program, created 35 years ago to promote youth physical fitness and provide fun learning experiences for children, attracted more than 400,000 participants last year in the United States and Canada. Sponsored by the Hershey candy company, its the largest youth sports program of its kind in North America.
Track & field meets take place in every state and every Canadian province. Hundreds of athletes make it to the grand finale — the North American Final in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
