Youth Theater's "Fiddler on Roof" Aug. 6 & 7
The Clayton Youth Theater's production of Fiddler on the Roof is coming up Aug. 6 & 7 at The Clayton Center.
Tickets, which can be obtained by calling 919-553-1737, are $11 for adults and $6 for students.
The students will perform Friday, Aug. 6 at 7:30 pm and twice on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 2 pm and again at 7:30 pm.
Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. Its universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, sadness and joy.
In addition, the Theater has scheduled a two-hour program called "Backstage Pass: Fiddler on the Roof" for rising first through sixth graders July 28 that will give them an opportunity to learn what youth theater is all about.
Participants will meet the cast of the Youth Theater's upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof and join them in a short Theater Workshop, get a backstage tour and a ticket to the show. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28 from 10 am until noon at The Clayton Center. The cost is $20 per participant and registration is limited.

During the Theater Workshop, youngsters will get a brief history of the upcoming musical, go through a rehearsal of the production's opening number and learn from both staff and the cast.
