Clayton Farmers Market Begins Second Year

The Clayton Farmers Market has returned to Town Square, drawing large crowds downtown on Saturday's for the second year.

The Market--which features 16 vendors this year with everything from farm-fresh eggs to baked goods, bedding plants, crafts and all sorts of vegetables on the way--will be open from 9 am to 3 pm each Saturday through October.

"So, come out, support your local growers, bakers and crafters, and experience the sense of community that is created when folks come together like this," said Market Chair Deborah Hooker.

The Market provided an economic boost for downtown last year, drawing shoppers to the area every Saturday.
