"Visual Arts Faire" at Horne Square June 4
The Clayton Visual Arts Faire, a new music and art festival designed to take the place of the defunct Millstock Music and Art Faire, is scheduled Saturday, June 4 on Horne Square in downtown Clayton.
Artists and craftsmen from all over the area will join musical acts and dance groups for a celebration of art from 10 am to 4 pm.
In addition, The Flipside restaurant, once at the center of Millstock, will have four bands of its own playing during the afternoon and evening hours.
"Chalk It Up," a sidewalk chalk art contest for youngsters and others that been a hit at Millstock over the years, will be back, with a cash prize to the winner. In addition, a free children’s booth is planned, too, where youngsters can make their own art—paintings or collages.
The event is being sponsored by Clayton Visual Arts.
