New Shopping Center Coming to NC 42W

A new shopping center with retail shops, a grocery store and office space is in the works for NC Highway 42 West between Amelia Church Road and Short Johnson Road.

The new "Amelia Station," to cover 14.7 acres, will also include a medical office building and a Sheets gas station.

The project, which replaces development originally planned for the site a few years ago, recently got the approval of the Clayton Town Council.
