You'll Be Seeing Two New Policemen Around

The Clayton Police Department has added two new officers to its staff, including the son of retired officer Joe Vause.

Justin Vause worked in the department early in the decade as a telecommunicator but transferred to the Johnston County 9-1-1 Center during the 2006 reorganization of emergency services. After that, he worked for more than a year with the police department in Wilson.

Kevin Cook of Garner, who previously worked in the Zebulon Police Department, has a military background.

Both men got their police training at the Basic Law Enforcement Training program at Johnston County Community College.
