Finance Director Nancy Medlin Wins Award

Finance Director Nancy Medlin has won her profession's highest award---again---for the seventh year in a row!

Her department's 2006-2007 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. It's the highest honor they award.

“As always, this was a collaborative effort,” Nancy said. “Without the help of our auditor, the creative support of administrative staff, and the continuing support and dedication of the Finance Department staff, this award may not have been possible.”

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 17,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C.
