Fun for the Family and Fireworks on July 4th

The annual Independence Day celebration at Municipal Park on Stallings Street will kick off Saturday, July 4 at 4 pm with fun, music and games, building up to the area's best fireworks display at 9:15 pm.

Here's the schedule:

4 pm

* Family Field Events -sack races, relay races, 50 yd. dash, water balloon toss, egg toss, egg & spoon race

* 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament - Under 18 Division - Adult Division

* Horseshoe Tournament - Men's & Women's Division

5 pm

* Youth QuickStart Tennis Clinic - Ages 10 and under (5 to 7 pm)

* Clayton Fire Department Spray Down

* Free Watermelon

* Children's Games (5:00-8:30 pm)

6 pm

* Bingo

7 pm

* Free Ice Cream

* 7-9:00 pm - "The Main Event Band" (bring your blanket or lawn chair)
