Two More Police Earn Advanced Certification
Two more member of the Clayton Police Department---Sgt. Kenneth Lunger Jr. and Detective Pat Millar---recently earned their Advanced Law Enforcement Certificates from the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Sgt. Lunger, Clayton's 2009 Police Officer of the Year, has been a leader here in traffic safety efforts, including DWI enforcement, since coming to Clayton from the Selma Police Department. The seven-year police veteran has a degree in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Det. Millar, an 11-year veteran of the local police force, recently moved into the Investigative Services Division. He came to the local force from the nearby Raleigh police force. Det. Millar has a degree from UNC-Wilmington.
