Terry Johnson Has A Lot of Loves in Her Life

Utility Billing Specialist Terry Johnson has a lot of loves in her life---normal ones like family, friends and her three dogs---but some unusual ones, too, like yard work and deer hunting.

While many of us are looking forward to golfing and playing other sports as the weather gets warmer, Terry can't wait to get out in the yard and cut the grass.

"I just really love to get out and work outside," the 13-year veteran of the Customer Services Department said. "I love to garden, too. That's something I look forward to in the spring, getting the garden planted."

And her love for hunting comes naturally.

"That's something I grew up doing with my Dad," she says. "It's probably my favorite thing to do. When hunting season comes around, I'm out in the woods with my husband and two sons."

During her years in Clayton, she said she's come to realize that one of her greatest loves is her co-workers at Town Hall.

"They're like my second family," Terry says. "It's a good feeling to get up in the morning and enjoy coming to work. My boss lady sometimes has to get on me in the afternoons to leave and go home. I love my job, and I love working here. I hope to be here quite a few more years."

Terry, who worked up front at Customer Services until moving to Billing five years ago, said working in a job that puts her in contact with lots of people was a little intimidating in the beginning.

"I was kind of shy, but now I can talk to anyone," she says. "Working here has helped me grow."

And, she intends to continue that growth by going back to college later in the year, taking classes either at night or online.
