The Town of Clayton is a Public Power Community. The Town owns and operates an electric distribution system, a water distribution system, and a wastewater treatment facility, in addition to providing solid waste pickup to our residents and businesses. By operating and maintaining our own utility systems, we are able to provide efficient and reliable services to our customers. Our employees are members of the community and they take pride in serving the community where they live.
Our utility rates, as well and other fees and charges are set annually by the Town Council. See our Comprehensive List of Fees and Charges. All fees and charges are reviewed annually and are adjusted periodically. Revenues generated by our utility systems are used to support and maintain those utility systems.
