Public Works

The Public Works Department strives to serve the best interests of the health and safety of the citizens and employees of the Town of Clayton. Public Works operations include water distribution and sanitary sewer service, streets maintenance and cleaning, solid waste collection including recycling, garbage collection and yard waste collection, property maintenance, storm drainage maintenance, sidewalk installation and maintenance, street sign installation including both traffic control and street name blades, and administration of the Town cemetery.

The Public Works Department functions out of the Operations Center located on NC Highway 42 west. Public Works staff can be reached at 919-553-1530.
