Town of Clayton Public Safety operations include the Clayton Fire Department (fire prevention, suppression, special operations, and public education) and the Clayton Police Department (Patrol, Investigations, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement), and in addition, the Town works in close cooperation with Clayton EMS (a independent, non-profit organization) and Johnston County Communications (Enhanced 911 service.)
The Town of Clayton is committed to the highest level of Public Safety readiness and response.
The Town of Clayton subscribes to an emergency call notification service called “CodeRED.” By means of the CodeRED system all residents of the Town of Clayton can receive a phone call notification of important or potentially urgent public safety or service related events. Calls may be received on land lines or wireless devices and multiple contact numbers may be provided for a single residence. The CodeRED service is offered to residents and businesses located within the Town Limits of Clayton and all residents and businesses are encouraged to subscribe. You may already be subscribed by means of public records associated with your land line phone; however, please take the time to enter your cell phone information or submit your land line number to confirm you are already enrolled. All information is kept confidential and calls will only be made regarding legitimate public safety or public service matters.
