Safety Program

The Safety and Health division of the Human Resources Department strives to reasonably protect employees against workplace hazards and environmental risks by directing and implementing safety programs to ensure safe, healthy and accident-free work environments.

Additionally, the Safety and Health division administers and monitors the workers' compensation program and working with Human Resources, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and state Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. The division also conducts site inspections and evaluations, makes safety recommendations, and provides necessary safety training for all departments of the Town.

Safety and Health division, working with Human Resources, develops Town wellness programs, organizes and directs health education programs for all Town employees, and prepares and disseminates educational and informational materials promoting health discussions and awareness throughout the Town's operations.
